Juan José Dolado (Zaragoza, 1955) obtained his PhD in Economics in 1988 at University of Oxford and his main contributions in economics are in labor economics, econometric theory and applied macroeconomics.
Since 2014 he is a professor at the European University Institute (EUI) and before he was at Universidad Carlos III (UC3M). In his beginnings he held a position in the Bank of Spain and later on, in 2000 he was a member of the monitoring committee of the European Central Bank.
In 2015 he was awarded with the Rey Jaime I prize in recognition for his highly significant work in the world of economics, published in four-star journals like Econometrica, The Economic Journal and Econometric Theory, among others.
